Marco Escobedo
Marco is an artist living in Lima, Peru. In his early career he studied painting and then developed a field of graphic designs later on. Today he is interested in photo editing and digital art. Marco focuses on surrealism using high contrast and high contrast and richly saturated colours create scenes and characters that look like they are from another planet. While they are dark and serious they usually a hint of playfulness and humour. Like many digital artists, Escobedo started his career in traditional painting, taking several classes in it and learning skills that he would later apply to his digital work. But it wasn’t long before he became enchanted with graphic design and began experimenting in programs like Corel Draw Like many digital artists, Escobedo started his career in traditional painting, taking several classes in it and learning skills that he would later apply to his digital work. Marco has took a ordinary beauty shot and has used shapes like the triangles. The colours of the swirls blend with the colour of her lips. The blues are on the opposite side of the colour scale to red so they contrast. This photo is eye catching as the colours he has used are pastel. I think that the red swirls look like they have been place to look like her hair. I am going to experiment on this type of image by taking a photo of one of my friends and then editing it in Photoshop.
I couldn't find the name of this photograph but i used it anyway because i like it. This photo shows a rock on fire which is also on fire crashing into buildings. I like how he has shown the shock of the image with the dust clouds and and smoke from the fire. You can also see in the sky which is the way he has edited it that it is a dark image. This photo has been stages because he has planned the pictures he has took and thought about what he want to take a picture of. This is a dark and dull image that has quite a eerie feeling to it.
Through further research from Pinterest I saw this photo. When I first saw it I thought it was just a front view but then it was side view as well.
Trial One
This is my first try at one of the digital surrealism. I took the picture myself and got the smokey textures off the internet. I edited it all on photoshop by using lots of different layers and fading out bits I didn't want and fading out any harsh lines. I don't really like it because its not really Surreal. To improve the theme I am doing I need to add more to the image.
Trial Two
This is my second try at the digital surrealism. I prefer this one to my first because it has more detail on it. I took the picture of Phoebe myself and got the other three off Pinterest. I turned the brightness and contrast down. For the three layers I used the brush tool and softened each layer down. Also for the first layer which is the triangle one I used the magic wand tool to delete some of them out.
Trial Three
This is my final try at doing the digital surrealism. I took the picture of Georgia myself and got the other 3 layers off Pinterest. The purple leaf texture is the layer I used first and I got the big brush and turned the softness down and faded it out so it wasn't so dark. I used a white layer with cracks in it but you cant really see it so I should turn the Opacity up on it. The smokey pink texture covered all of the picture so I got the brush again and faded the pieces of the picture I didn't want in out. for each of the layers i turned the brightness down. On Georgia I turned the contract and brightness down.
For my improvements, I will take all of the pictures I use to layer myself and not use other photographers work.

Developed Idea
For this image I have met my improvements as I have took all these photos myself. To create this I used two layer masks. I used the daisies as the first layer mask and then for the second layer mask I used lowered the opacity and erased the daisies from over Phoebes face. I have used a pink photo filter on this images so it has more colour to it but I also used curves which I added an ombre effect to so the top is lighter and it gradually get darker at the bottom. I thought that the image needed to stand out more so I added vignette so that Phoebes face stood out more and was drawn to the main subject.
